Director of JJ Bergin Ltd with over 40 years experience working in the trade. Specialist in heraldic engraving on silver and gold.

David was introduced to engraving during his course in industrial design at Canterbury Art College in the early 60s. In 1965 he was taken on as a trainee engraver at JJ Bergin, and by the 70s was running the firm. Over the years, David has worked on several pieces for the Queen and other members of the Royal family. Today, he is training his daughter Sarah Hobbs who is apprenticed to JJ Bergin Ltd.

David is currently the Association’s Membership Secretary.
